I Ran Out of Yarn
While working on my latest project, a little ballet outfit for MaryJayne, I ran out of yarn. Admittedly I started with left over yarn, but when I went to the store to get more the same color (dye lot was not an issue) was nowhere to be found. My next step I guess will be to look on-line. If you are anything like me once I walk away from a project and lose momentum my eyes start to wander to other possible projects. My lesson...always make sure you have enough yarn before you begin...seems like something I should know, but apparently I am a slow learner on this particular point.

Self Ruffling Yarn
I have found a new product I just love! Self Ruffling Yarn. Premier Yarns Starbella comes in many colors and with and without sparkles. (Who doesn't love a little sparkle?) When knitting with it you essentially split the yarn. The label has wonderful instructions and diagrams on the back. I have made several scarves and I am working on a few pillows. The uses, however, are limited only by your imagination.

The Fleur De Lis Pillow Has Arrived
The pattern for the Fleur de lis pillow is finally here! Look for it under pillows!
I had a wonderful time adding in the novelty yarn for just the fleur de lis. It really made the pattern pop!

Christmas Knitting
This year I am not taking on a huge load of knitting. I have two stuffed animals for my nephews, and a couple of scarves. Maybe I will find time to knit some stockings for Christmas decor.

On My Needles
Christmas knitting has begun! Last year I knit for my older nieces and nephews...this year the little ones. I love doing cute little toys like the hippo I am working on now. Double pointed needles once a feared concept are now something I look forward to and enjoy!
